The Computer Systems Analyst will be responsible for maintaining/improving existing software and assisting in coding, testing, and debugging of new applications. S/he will work closely with the technical staff to learn, understand, and make suggestions for solutions and software enhancements. S/he may also be asked to assist in the development of user/training manuals. The Computer Systems Analyst will assist in the installation, maintenance, and usage of the local area network and infrastructure as well as establish IT procedures regarding access methods, security, and documentation. S/he will proactively research software/hardware issues regarding the LAN, WAN, Firewall, patch management, and business side of the IT infrastructure as there are many type of businesses from sales to trading and more. Finally, s/he will monitor and maintain continuity with software licensing and maintenance agreements as well as inform users when there are network outages.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a technical resource utilizing “Best Practice” and “Industry Standards” for system integration projects
  • Hands-on involvement in projects without necessarily utilizing other staff
  • Maintain current functional and technical knowledge of our service lines
  • Assist in supporting and improving existing conditions, processes, and communication
  • Coordinate and effectively communicate with project team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent; or 4 – 10 years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP and network programming
  • Clear and organized writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of our service line DCS systems, the ability to understand vendor-specific graphics software programs, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry as well as calculate figures and amounts
