Graphic Interface Designer

The Designer will be responsible for innovating, designing, and implementing HMI (Human Machine Interface) operator graphics. S/he will also be defining the customer experience by establishing and adhering to customer conventions and standards. S/he will be responsible for creating detailed and comprehensive graphical displays that effectively deliver crucial information. The Designer will be working closely with lead designers and engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately write and interpret simple Visual Basic scripting (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Follow internal process and procedures for graphic development with attention to detail
  • Coordinate and effectively communicate with project team
  • Create and update documentation for design standards
  • Provide on-site support to engineers during and following design implementation
  • Learn and self-train on different customer legacy display building software
  • Work on additional special marketing projects

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college/technical school, or a minimum of three years of related experience and/or training
  • Clear and organized writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of Human Factors Engineering (HFE) and abnormal situations management is beneficial
  • Intermediate skills with various software programs include PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Microsoft Office Suite
